From November 18 to November 20, the logistics week organized by AFILOG took place, under the high patronage of Prime Minister Jean Castex, the Minister Delegate for Industry Agnès Pannier-Runacher, and the Prime Minister Delegate in charge of Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari. During this, 33 logisticians opened the doors of their warehouses in France, including XP LOG.
As part of this event: city dwellers, students, and the media were able to discover the backstage of logistics platforms, the objective of which was to highlight the vital role of logisticians in the supply chain, but also in the world around us.
On the Saint-Vigor-d’Ymonville site in Le Havre, XP LOG opened the doors of the building 1 by offering guided tours of a warehouse made up of 8 cells of 4,000 m2 each. Two time slots were offered: beyond the general public who were present, we received students from ADEN Formation and their trainers at 10 a.m., but also students from the Higher Institute of Transport and International Logistics (ISTELI) at 2:30 p.m.
Delighted to discover for some or to put an image on the notions studied upstream for others, everyone was able to appreciate and benefit from information, descriptions, but also explanations on the different stages of the supply chain dedicated to this customer.
The receiving and shipping areas allowed visitors to understand the full path of products passing through our warehouses. But it was the cardboard picking and retail picking areas that caught their attention the most, due to the multitude of references to be stored, which makes this logistics flow one of the most impressive at XP LOG.
This event therefore brought together around forty people who were able to discover the vital role of the logistics sector in our daily, economic life and in the environmental revolution.
